The NALC Local Business Agent for Retirees in the Caribbean serves active and retired members from the following Branches:
Branch 869, San Juan
Branch 826, Ponce
Branch 6412, St. Thomas
Branch 6413, St. Croix,
providing advice and assistance regarding pre and post retirement issues. These issues primarily involve the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and its administration of the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS). These issues at times intersect with other agencies and programs, including the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), Medicare, Social Security, Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) and Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB). In addition, the agent provides assistance with the filling and filing of the Regular Retirement Packages and Disability Retirement.
